EGCR Update regarding Covid-19
March 12, 2020: We know many of you have questions about how Covid-19 may affect plans you have to attend the Eastern Gas Compression Roundtable on May 5-7. We join you in your concerns with this unprecedented health emergency and wanted to share some important information with you.
As of now, the EGCR will take place as scheduled and we are proceeding on schedule with our planning. At more than 7 weeks away from the start of the EGCR, we are hopeful that we will be able to proceed with this important annual educational event.
However, we are very closely monitoring the situation as it relates to large gatherings. The information and predictions on the lifespan, spread and treatment of this virus, as well as the results of containment efforts are continuously changing and our first commitment it to insure the health and safety of our exhibitors and attendees. We will continue to monitor the outbreak via reputable channels including local and national authorities, public health information outlets, the CDC and the WHO and make updates as needed.
We will issue a statement on Friday of each week as we move closer to the event date and will provide updates via our website and social media channels as they become available.
The safety of our attendees and vendors is our top priority and we will ultimately make any decisions with that in mind. We pray that you and your families remain safe and healthy.
