Seriously though, Bicera doors play a critical role in our workplace, serving 2 purposes. One is well known, but the other is often overlooked. The Bicera valves are designed to relieve pressure in the event of an overpressure occurrence in the crankcase. A crankcase event is the most common occurrence leading to activation of the Bicera. But there is another function, which is to close as quickly as possible to ensure that the crankcase event doesn’t get a fresh gulp of oxygen through a backdraft.
